by her daddy. Her uncle Josh and uncle Kody were her witnesses.

So with February almost over I better get caught up. This past month has been a busy one, especially the last two weeks. Jarred had a baseball tournament in St. George over Presidents Day weekend so my mom, Jarred, Kenna and I headed to sunny St. George (Thurs. - Sunday). Reagan didn't want to miss her valentines party at school on Friday, and Ethan misses so much work if he is gone for a day (the fun of middle school). The tournament was great. They played Friday (lost one, won one) and Saturday (lost both). But it was warm (compared to Cache Valley) and it was nice to get away. This last week Ash and Rob decided to remodel their upstairs and recruited Jason to help them tear down walls and do the electrical, so he was over there most of the week after work. I got put into the Primary Presidency (2nd councilor) and I am still assisted cub master (to Jason). This past week we had the Blue and Gold banquet dinner (celebrating 100 years of scouting) and Saturday was our quarterly primary activity. So I was super busy with both of those last week, and loving every minute of it. The best part of all of this post................. one week from tomorrow, and we are heading to sunny, warm, beautiful Phoenix. We are meeting Jason's dad and grandma there for some baseball (go Giants). Hopefully by the time we get back spring will be ready to grace us with its presence. Here's to hoping................

Wow it's been awhile. My sister in law was making fun of me the other day about having Halloween pics with a Christmas background. I had to laugh. I am so far behind on things lately. So here is a quick recap of the past couple months.

Thanksgiving
We went to Josh and Laura's home for Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun. The guys went shooting and the girls stayed at the house and got the food ready.

December
We had Kenna's 4th birthday, Dec. 9th. I can't believe my baby is already 4. It is so crazy. She is such a big girl. She goes to preschool one morning a week and loves it. She is trying to learn to read. It is so funny watching her "read" to Chloe and Jake.
Christmas eve we spent the night at my parents house. We had so much fun playing games and eating junk. The sleeping part wasn't too great but the kids all had a blast. Santa was very good to them this year. They all got Nintendo DS and Kenna got a leapster. All in all it was a good time.

January
So, the kids are back in school and so am I. I am taking 6 credits this semester (English 1010 and History 2700), both online. So far I am liking both. Jarred is playing Baseball again. They practice in Smithfield one night a week until it warms up, hopefully by June it will be warm enough to go outside. We are heading down to St. George the second weekend in February for a ball tournament and then the first week in March we get to go to Scottsdale and see our favorite team in Spring Training.

Not much else is going on. Jason is busy working and being Cubmaster at church. I am teaching RS and being his assistant in cubscouts.

Halloween 2009

For Halloween this year we went to Josh and Laura's.
The kids (both young and old) had a lot of fun.

Ethan was a ghoul, Jarred and Reagan were pilgrims (don't ask. I'm not sure why they chose those costumes), Kenna was a skunk, Hannah (my niece) was a cat and Mark (my nephew) was a monkey.

I just need to grinch for a moment about my dislike of Wednesdays. It used to be my favorite day of the week, only 2 more days of the week. Why do I dislike it so much you ask................

Jarred has scouts from 4:30-5:30pm
Ethan has football practice from 5:30-7pm
Jarred has baseball practice 6-7:30pm
Jason has scouts from 6:30-7:30pm
Ethan has scouts from 7-8pm

So you can see I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off from 4:30 until ?????
And then I get to come home get the kids bathed and in bed, make lunches for the next day, put Kenna back to bed at least 2 more times, and try to find the strength to brush my teeth before falling into bed exhausted. Oh the joys of motherhood.........................

So, I decided after 11 years that it was time to go back to school. I turned in my first assignment a week or so ago and just got my grade today. 30/30
I was so nervous but now I think I might actually be able to do this. I still have along way to go (how depressing, a 31 yr old freshman) but I'm not as freaked out.

Reagan started 2nd grade. Her teacher is Mrs. Tuddenham and she has been teaching "forever". Which is good because Reagan needs someone who know what she is doing (i.e. not putting up with attitude)

Jarred started 3rd grade this year. He has Mrs. Black. I wasn't too sure about her but I think it's going to be a really good year. Again he is with Gabe (3rd year in a row) which he was really excited about.

Ethan started 6th grade (man am I old). New school, new kids, lots of teachers, lockers, and the bus. So far he loves it. It scares me. I remember what I was doing in 6th grade and if he pulls any of the same stuff he is dead:)

Kenna started her first year of preschool at Ms. Rosemary's. Jarred and Reagan both went to her and she is wonderful. Kenna goes one day a week and her best buddy Jake (the Boy) goes with her. She is so excited everyday and can't wait to go.

Josh and I tried to pull it out and decided that maybe we should go to the ER, so off we went to Marysville (white trash town north of my grandparents). The doctor and nurses kept asking who hooked him and we had to keep telling the story. I don't think Ethan and I have ever laughed that hard.

This weekend was so much fun. I just need to express my gratitude for such a wonderful weekend. Yesterday, Josh and Laura came up to visit. We had so much fun eating dinner at our house with my parents. And then today Josh surprised us by driving up 1 1/2 hrs to go to church with us. After church we went up Logan canyon and met my parents for a little picnic. The kids had a blast playing in the water and we had a great time just sitting by the river visiting and relaxing. I love my brother so much and am so glad he is in my life and my kids. He is trying so hard to get back on the right track and I am so proud of him..
I love living in Cache Valley where we can be outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I love my husband and kids with all my heart. Okay, not my husband because he is picking on me right now:). I am so lucky..........................

Kenna's long day

So Kenna doesn't sleep through the night. I bet in the past 3 1/2 yrs she has slept a total of 1 month and not all at once (which means I haven't either). At her last well child check, Dr. McKenna said she had really big tonsils. We took her to an ENT and had him look at her and not only does she have big tonsils/adnoids but that also has been causing her to have sleep apnea (which is probably why she wakes up all the time). We went to the hospital this morning at 7:15 am and they took her tonsils/adnoids out. She was so sweet and so good. She did really well coming out of the annestisia (sp) and slept almost all day. She is such a sweet little angel. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. And now hopefully, she will actually start sleeping.

School is almost out and with it comes..........................

Baseball games/practices everyday of the week except for Sunday. Which means dinner isn't until 8pm if we are lucky.

Less and less homework.............Yeah

Drama, Drama, Drama, from Reagan about everything. Mostly being bored and having no one to play with.

Trying to get the rest of our garden in with the little bit of free time we have, which doesn't happen very often, especially with the rainy, cold days we still get.

I love summer and all the freedom it brings. I love the sunshine, baseball games, camping and just hanging out with friends and family.

Reagans Surprise 7th Bday Party

Reagan turned 7 on April 2nd. I have told my kids they only get friend parties when they turn 5, 8 and 12 so Reagan knew she wasn't getting a party this year. Jason told me I am mean so I decided to throw her a surprise party. She went home with a friend after school. Everyone got here and I called her to come home. She was so surprised when she walked in the door. She gave everyone hugs and was all smiles. It was a lot of fun, even if I did have 10 girls running around my house. Happy Birthday beautiful. Jason and I decided we needed a break from the snow and cold and work so we took the kids to Phoenix for a week (in March). It was so much fun and no beautiful. We went to the zoo, saw my cousins (no pics cuz I left my camera in the car), went to 2 SF Giants games and just enjoyed being together. It was so much fun and I can't wait until next year. My New Calling

The Bishop wanted to meet with me again today (third time in three weeks) and offered me a new calling. I was released from Primary a couple weeks ago and I knew I wouldn't be left alone for long. So today I got sustained as a RS teacher. I am really excited and a little scared. I've never taught adults before and don't feel "smart enough". It's easy to teach kids, you can bluff your way though stuff. But adults are too smart for that. Wish me luck.

USU Cheer Clinic 1-17-09

USU has a cheer clinic every year. This year I decided it would be fun to sign Reagan up. She went up to campus and learned the cheers from 8:30am - 12noon. When I went to pick her up she informed me she needed new blue pants (she had a pair of blue leggings but she didn't like how they looked with her Aggie tshirt). So off we went to find her new pants. Then she informs me she needs new tennis shoes "cuz she can't wear brown shoes with all blue". The kids were invited to come to the Aggie vs. Boise State game that night to cheer during half time. She was so cute and so
excited. For the rest of the weekend all she could talk about was when the next cheer clinic would be. I have definately created a monster. And the sad part is I hated cheer leaders in high school. Oh well..................... I can't believe how grown up she seems sometimes. It is sad how fast they grow.

We had our first big snow storm yesterday. I woke up at 5am and there was nothing. At 8am I couldn't even see where the patio stopped and the grass began. We had a good 4 inches. Our only snow shovel we had was the one we got when we started building. Lets just say its seen better days. Jason has "fixed" it so many times. Well, after 5 minutes my wrist hurt so bad I couldn't lift the shovel one more time. My friend Cheryl came down and let me try her shovel. I fell in love. We finished my driveway and went to my neighbors to do there's. John came out and brought his snow blower so we let him finish his own. Cheryl rocks and went to Lowes to get them another shovel and picked me up one too. I was so excited to use it today. And of course no snow. I can't believe I want it to snow so I can use my new shovel. Jason really needs to come home. I need to get a life again. Oh well, only 5 more days and he'll be home for 2 weeks. I can't wait.

It's been awhile

I have been informed by some of my friends it has been awhile since I posted anything. So here goes.
Jason had nasel/sinus/septum surgery about 2 weeks ago. He was so miserable for about a week. His face was really swollen and his nose drained constantly. He walked around the house with a piece of gauze wrapped/taped to the bottom of his nose. He looked really funny. I didn't think to get pics. So dumb of me.............. He is going to Oregon (about 1 hr from Roseburg) for about 2-3 months. He leaves Monday the 27th. His work has a job going on there and after much talking and praying we decided it would be a really good opportunity for him so he is off. I'm trying to think of all the positives (we can have cereal everynight, our grocery bill will be cut in half, laundry will be cut in half, Tiffani and I can go to the White Owl and hang out:) He gets to come home every 10 days or so. Work is paying for everything so hopefully we will be able to save some money................ Not much else is going on.

The kids are doing really good in school. I can't believe how good Jarred and Reagan are reading, finally. Ethan doesn't want mom or dad to come to school we might cramp his style. Oh well, I knew it would happen sooner or later. Kenna has finally started the terrible two's/three's. It is so horrible. There are many days I have to thank God she is so cute.

Josh, Laura and Jason and I went to the Haunted Hollow on Friday. It was so much fun. Especially watching Josh scream like a girl. Poor Laura got pushed in front of him lots of times. You'd think he'd be a little tougher being in the Navy and all. We are all suppose to get together this weekend to do the Pumpkin walk and go to a USU hockey game. I will post pics.

Jarred's Baptism Day

Jarred got baptized September 6, 2008. He was so cute. Grandma and Grandpa Elliott got him a CTR tie tack that looked like a golf tee. He loved it and wants to wear it everyday. It was such a beautiful day. The weather was warm and sunny. I am so proud of him for deciding to be baptized. It seems like just yesterday he was born and now here he is 8 yrs later. It's crazy how fast time goes.

Jarred 1st pack meeting

We had pack meeting last night. All day Jarred kept complaining that he needed a Scout shirt for his 1st pack meeting. We told him maybe next time. We had already bought it for his birthday. Of course it took me an hour to sew on 4 small patches. Anyway, we told the boys to go get ready. We had layed his shirt on his bed. He walked in his room and almost started crying. It was so sweet. He came out with it in his arms and said "Thanks mom. I love it."

We went camping with Jason's dad and Elisa and his aunt and uncle to the Sawtooth National Forest outside of Ketchum, ID.
About an hour away from where we were camping was the Craters of the Moon. This is where 2000 or so yrs ago an eruption occured and left lava everywhere. The kids liked seeing all the lava and the caves.

The kids at the top of a very long/steep hill. When we got to the top it was so windy we had to take our hats off and hold onto Kenna so she wouldn't blow away.

So me and 4 girlfriends went to Borders tonight at 11pm to wait for the release of Breaking Dawn. It was so crazy. Grown women were standing around telling each other why they thought Bella should be with Edward or Jacob.............I was thinking to myself "Really people, you do know this is just a story right.." I wasn't planning on buying the book. I don't have any of the others and thought I would just borrow from someone like I have with the others. But after hanging out with the crazy people for 2 hours I decided why not...........I haven't started reading it yet. Maybe this next week while we are camping. So don't give anything away....................

Swimming Lessons

Reagan saw on the Disney Channel the Jonas Brothers were in concert. She came into my room yesterday and asked me, "Please, Please, Please can we go see the Jonas Brothers?'' I thought why not, lets see how much the tickets cost. So I went to ticket master and saw they weren't coming to Salt Lake. They were playing that night outside of Wheatland. When I told her they were by grandmas with the donkeys she said "Cool lets go. We can spend the night at Grandmas." I tried explaining to her that there was no way we could get to Wheatland in 8 hours. She got really quiet and said, "Why did we have to move anyway...... I could be watching the Jonas Brothers right now." Just thought that was too funny to not pass along. Especially if you know how oscar winning some of Reagans pouts can be...................................

So it's finally summer. We have been very busy with baseball/softball ( 5 games plus practices per week). Jarreds last game was last week. They won 2 games all season. He did really good though and learned alot. Ethan starts playoffs today. He has been pitching and has been doing awesome. Reagan is playing softball for 2 more weeks. She does okay but now wants to start playing tennis. We'll see. Jason goes fishing every chance he gets usually with the boys and a neighbor. They haven't been catching much but oh well. Kenna is just trying to keep up with everyone and I just get to play chaffuer. Anyway, not much else is going on.

We decided Kenna needed to get rid of her binky last weekend. So when we went to the zoo she gave her binkies to Auntie Manda for her new baby. It was really cute. We told her she could have a new toy if she did this so on the way home we stopped at Target (gotta love that place) and she picked out a stuffed giraffe like the baby giraffe she saw at the zoo. She had a few bad days mostly when it was nap time but so far we have been binky free for a little over a week and she is doing great.

Anyway, not much else is going on. It's been really cold and rainy for the past 2 weeks. The kids are bored and onery which makes the days really long. We can only play so much WII and watch so many movies. We start swim lessons next week so that will be a change of scenery. Hopefully summer will be here soon and we can go outside and play and enjoy ourselves.

Providence City Mile

So last weekend we ran the Providence City mile together as a family. The boys took off without us and Jason stayed behind with the girls. Kenna kept yelling "Faster Daddy, Faster". Jarred and Reagan each got 2nd place in there age groups. And so did I although I think there was only 2 people in my age group. Anyway, it was alot of fun. The kids seem to like running and hopefully it will be something we can all do as a family again,

My best friends and I are very immature. We toilet paper on each others bdays (we even toilet paper our old bishopric and the boys at their father/sons campouts). Anyway, they decided to skip out of church early. Here is the damage. It was funny to see people drive by after church and see their looks of astonishment. April Birthday Party

So, because we have 6 birthdays in our family in April we decided to do one big party after the marathon/5K on Saturday. Amanda figured out what our average age is and put that many candles on the cake. So......5+4+1=10 plus 13 equals 23 candles.

5K

Ethan and I did the 5K (3.1 miles) on
Saturday (April 19). He finished in 31 min. and 30 sec.
I finished in 38 min. and 59 sec. It was so exciting to cross the finish line. I am planning on running a half marathon next time. My sister did it and I am so proud of her.

We finally had a nice enough day to get our garden ready to plant. We got in snap peas and onions. It's been so cold since then we haven't been able to do anything else. Oh well.
